No Bake Binders

an erlenmeyer flask filled with red liquid which is a mix of resin types and catalysts called no-bake binders

Overview

Inproheat Industries supplies a mix of resin types and catalysts known as no-bake binders from ASK Chemicals.

When combined with a sand mix, the mixture cures and hardens to create top quality cores and molds. No post-cure additives are needed and baking is not required.

Features

Fast Strip Times

No bake binders promote faster strip times with rapid pattern or core box turnover, all leading to greater productivity.

Precise Dimensions

No bake binders allow precise stable dimensions – with no dimensional changes due to shrinkage, sagging or warping, making casting repeatable.

Erosion Resistance

No bake binders provide excellent erosion resistance on core surfaces.

High Flowability

No bake binders also offer strong flowability for the life of the sand mix.

Applications

No bake binders are commonly used to produce cores and molds for both ferrous and non-ferrous castings that range from a few pounds to thousands of pounds.

Beyond those applications, various combinations of resin and catalyst are available to accommodate differing sand mixes and temperature conditions, while also controlling hardness, work and strip time.
