Manufacturer

Description

  • Uses thin plates with high thermal conductivity.
  • Herringbone and/or washboard patterns are the building blocks, creating channels for the flow of the media.
  • Various flow channel combinations can be achieved by changing the relationship between the patterns and the direction of flow at each layer.
  • The angles of the plate patterns and flow directions must be carefully calculated to give the desired turbulence, temperature and pressure drop. The closer the heat exchanger matches the performance requirements of the application, the more efficient and economical the solution will be. The ability to achieve an optimum match calls for both technological skills and innovation.

Application

  • For close temperature control of fluids for heat recovery applications particularly in operations requiring frequent opening and cleaning of the unit.
  • Especially effective in high volume applications and/or where both media require the use of costly resistant metals such as titanium, palladium or various other alloys.

Features and Benefits

  • Broad selections of plate designs and sizes, flow channel configurations, gasket types and port connections can be custom combined to suit almost any application.
  • Resistant to scaling.
  • Easy maintenance and in-place expansion capability - simple disassembly for cleaning and replacement of plates, or installation of additional plates.
