Biological Sludge Pasteurization Systems

Manufacturer
Description
Traditional sludge digestion methods do not produce temperatures high enough to destroy the pathogenic bacteria present in wastewater sludge. The traditional method of dealing with bacteria is to heat the sludge in a heat exchanger using a steam or hot water boiler. Upon reaching the temperature of 158°F (70°C) sludge is stored for a minimum period of 30 minutes to achieve full pasteurization. SubCom offers a unique solution for the production of EPA Class ‘A' biosolids that other technologies cannot match.
Application
Typical Applications:
- Wastewater treatment plants
Features and Benefits
Fast - SubCom pasteurizes sludge to EPA Class ‘A' in the minimum required time.
Efficient - SubCom achieves high efficiencies through the patented direct-contact heating technology.
Small Footprint - SubCom systems have a smaller physical footprint than other sludge pasteurization technologies.
