Thermocouples

Manufacturer
Heraeus (http://www.electro-nite.com)
Description
An expendable molten metal temperature sensor, usually fitted to the end of a probe or lance for immersion into hot molten metal or slag, for the purposes of temperature and thermal analysis. Circuitry in the lance sends electrical signals, generated by the thermocouple, back to advanced electronic instrumentation and analysis equipment.
Application
An indispensable process control tool used in the mills and foundries of various metallurgical industries for fast accurate readings in furnaces and ladles.
Features and Benefits
- Single-use probes can simply be discarded at the end of their use There is no need to handle a hot, fragile thermocouple assembly to prepare it for re-use.
- Special designs are available that allow for continuous or repeated uses during the life of the device.
- Robust design and construction to withstand rigorous applications.
- Accurate and reliable readings.
