Inproheat Industries offers thermocouples manufactured by Heraeus for use in steel production and casting-related applications. Thermocouples acquire reliable temperature information from liquid metal.
Thermocouples are available to our Canadian customers in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the territories.
Thermocouples are especially notable for two different measurement features – spot measurement and continuous measurement.
Widely used in foundry settings during the production of steel, spot measurement by thermocouples allows quick readings of temperatures. Thermocouples for spot measurement have a variety of design sizes to match the application at hand with the added safety component of non-splash technology.
Spot measurement thermocouples utilize Positherm® and Positherm® Non-Splash sensor options along with DigiTemp-E and iM² Sensor Lab® instruments.
Commonly integrated with casting applications, continuous measurement from thermocouples provides equal accuracy as spot measurement readings with a similar level of design flexibility for both the thermocouples and their accessories. Thermocouples designed for continuous measurement utilize infrared and cooling technology along with user-friendly display capabilities for reliable, ongoing temperature readings.
Continuous measurement thermocouples feature CasTemp®, Contitherm®, Contilance, HFC-IV sensor options.
In metallurgical industry-related settings such as mills and foundries, thermocouples often gauge furnaces, ladles, and tundishes for temperature readings.
