Crucibles

a crucible pouring out molten metal

Overview

Inproheat Industries offers crucibles in multiple shapes and sizes that are designed to be compatible with several melting and pouring systems. These are designed by Morgan Advanced Materials.

Based on application requirements, crucibles can be manufactured from high performance materials and mixtures like alumina, zirconia, silicon carbide, clay graphite, and magnesium oxide.

Among other things, the same materials can also be used to create launderers, ladle bowls, pyrometer sheaths, tubes and ladle liners.

Features

Crucible materials can be optimized to suit the specific needs of the intended application. Features and options include:

Thermal and Induction

Crucibles offer a high degree of thermal conductivity and seamless operation with furnace applications that are induction-based.

Resistance

Crucibles offer resistance in several key areas – including oxidation, slag and corrosion, as well as particularly challenging service applications or chemical attacks. This resistance is due, in part, to their high density features.

Purity and Strength

Crucibles supplied by Inproheat Industries offer both high purity and high mechanical strength.

Applications

Crucibles are primarily used in metal melting and molten metal delivery applications across the industries of precious metal, steel, copper, aluminum and alloy as well as electric resistance, induction, gas-fired melting or holding furnaces.
