Riser Sleeves

two concrete riser sleeves

Overview

Inproheat Industries offers riser sleeves manufactured by ASK Chemicals.

Riser sleeves are resin-bonded with exothermic or insulating material.

Features

Consistent Composition and Low Gas

Riser sleeves possess a chemical composition that is uniform while offering low levels of gas evolution.

Improved Casting Yields

ASK and Exochem sleeves are known for optimum casting yield and performance.

Applications

The two types of riser sleeves have specific advantages when it comes to their applications.

The design of cylindrical riser sleeves makes them ideal during the mold production process as they can be rammed directly into the mold.

Insertable sleeves can similarly be used during mold production through ramming, but their shape is just as effective for direct insertion into sleeve print cavities upon completion of a mold.

Other molding applications that are ideal for insertable sleeves include permanent molding, sheel, and green sand (both high and low production). Furthermore, the accuracy of their shape and smoothness of surface make them useful in higher production molding – specifically with automatic core setting equipment.
