Inproheat Industries Ltd. is proud to offer agitators that have been designed by EKATO.
In the industrial mixing process, agitators are used for specific tasks, which commonly include the heat transfer, suspension, homogenization, fermentation, and storage of a desired substance.
EKATO agitators exist in a range of models that have been designed based on the intended industry application, as well as the desired product features such as motor power, volume range, dimensions, and type of installation.
The HWL-N is the signature reactor agitator from EKATO. Built to meet DIN-standards and the most stringent operational safety demands, the HWL-N boasts a motor power reaching 4000 KW – the largest in the EKATO family. This agitator also features install capabilities from the top, bottom, or side, a splitted shaft, and only a small required area for maintenance operations.
EM industrial agitators from EKATO are equipped for applications with vessels that are unpressurized or pressurized. The EM models can be motor-operated or integrated with gearboxes, and they can also function within a significant volume span. Standard EM industrial agitators feature splitted shafts, collector trays, shaft speed measuring capabilities, heat traps, and lanterns designed with elastic coupling and double bearing.
Compact agitators are optimized for vessels that may be open or low-pressure. The low height of these units and their simplified build allows for cost-effective maintenance and streamlined adjustments. The standard divisible shaft can be hollow or massive, while the bevel or flat gearbox contains enhanced bearings. For applications that involve corrosive materials, the lantern can be sealed with the shafts and impellers protected by rubber. EKATO compact agitators are available as FD, KD, and HWL-A models.
Intended specifically for vessels that are pressurized and for smaller volumes, the FGL small volume agitators from EKATO can be motor-driven or integrated with a gearbox. With a customized mechanically-sealed shaft, these small volume agitators also contain stainless steel lanterns for additional sealing.
The allrounder agitators feature a compact design that is helical gearbox or motor-driven. Mounting plates or flanges are an additional feature along with various sealing options including V-rings, safety labyrinths, or shaft seal rings. Allrounder agitators are available in MD and SD models.
Coaxial agitators (KOAX) offer strong performance and versatility coupled with a pair of independent impeller systems and individual drives. The two drives can be operated at their own individual rotations and shaft speeds. Also equipped with sealing systems, these agitators are ideal for challenging products during variety of mixing stages like dispersion, suspension, heat transfer, decomposition, and homogenization.
With a design that offers a lateral install, these agitators are well-suited to a variety of storage tanks. Available in standard ES ES-V models, as well as swivel models (ES-SW) for crude oil tanks, and the HWL model for flue gas desulfurization plants. With single-acting or double-acting mechanical seal options depending on the model, side-entry agitators also offer features like shut-off devices, mounting flanges, simplified maintenance, and easy replacement.
The ESM Magnetic Safety Agitators are best-suited for mixing processes involving hazardous material. A hermetic seal keeps the product separated from the environment to prevent leakage. Standard features include flat or helical gearboxes, customized shaft speed options, magnetic couplings, , pressure compensators, and canned magnetic rotors, while cooling flanges and monitoring of the shaft speed, pressure, and temperature are also available.
Agitators are found in a wide range of industries where mixing technology is a vital component of the given application.
