SDV Valves

A close-up image of an SDV valve manufactured by Schoeder.

Overview

Inproheat is proud to offer SDV valves manufactured by Schroeder.

The SDV is a back pressure device installed to a pipe that contains an integrated check system to maintain a set back pressure. The SDVs functionality remains separate from the pump’s flow rate or volume and it prevents a pumped medium from cavitation or complete vaporization.

SDV valves, parts, and service are available to our Canadian customers across Canada.

Features

Locking Cone

SDVs accomplish their primary purpose of maintaining set back pressure through the use of a cone that is spring-activated. The cone activates flow at the desired pressure level and locks into place.

Reduced Noise

The SDV has a unique control function on the cone to ensure that the valve is not causing any unnecessary noise that can be induced by a lower flow rate.

Return System

SDVs contain a built-in return system to prevent any flow from travelling in reverse.

Applications

SDVs are commonly used for applications where, under atmospheric conditions, a pumped medium’s temperature is above its vaporization temperature. A prime example would be if the medium is water and it has a temperature at or above 100°C.
